Barclay Bank Feed

The feed from Barclay has not been working for around a month now. I look at the “outage” report and the fix date keeps getting extended. What’s going on with this bank ?

In our data provider interface this is a note they’ve made about the outage: We are seeing high failures for Barclaycard. This could be because Barclaycard is temporarily unavailable or undergoing maintenance. We are monitoring the status and will keep you updated.

The current customer impact % is only sitting at 9% as of right now, so you may find it start working again if you keep trying even while the outage persists.

Morgan,
The Barclay feed has been out for more than a month, every time i look at your outage report the date keeps getting pushed back. 9% is only relative to those that use this bank - of which I am one. Are you telling me Tiller doesn’t care about 9% of their users. This is an interface problem - there is two sides the bank and Tiller(which includes any services your subscribe to). Takes two to figure out and fix the issue - it is not a bank problem.
What number do I call at Tiller to review this issue ?

Not to butt in here, but I’m guessing that that 9% number means that 9% of the users who use Barclay are being impacted. I would be very surprised if one in eleven Tiller users use Barclay (I just checked, and it’s the 57th largest bank in the US), and if they did, there would be a lot more people complaining about an outage. For example, see the recent thread on Ally, which I’d be willing to bet has a lot more Tiller users than Barclay. None of this is to dismiss the frustration of a prolonged outage. Just trying to clarify. Hope it gets sorted out soon.

You are not butting in, the more information the better. Barclays is the purveyor of the American Airlines Mastercard, amongst others. I don’t bank there. How many Tiller users have one of their cards. Seems to me that if a Bank is on the Tiller outage report , that would effect all users not just some.

Credit cards is a good point, and I know Barclays supports a lot of them (but I still suspect that very few banks support as many as 9% of Tiller’s users, but I don’t really know.). To your question, for reasons I can’t explain, it does seem that outages don’t always affect all users, nor are they necessarily compete outages. As an example of the former, Fidelity has had outages over the last several months that have affected some users but not others. On the latter, I think “outages” can sometimes mean simply “instability” such that it’ll work one day but not the next. I’ve certainly experienced that during other outages and it could be another explanation of that 9% number.

I have Barclay and was experiencing the same.
Delete the account in the console then re add it. It now works, but you must daily refresh the account because Barclays now requires 2FA and you will need that code to enter into Tiller for access. Also in general it is import to open your tiller console in its own browser tab. Hope that helps

Chris,
Thank you. Deleting and then re-adding and the feed worked 2 months of transactions. Not sure I have the patience to update every day, I’ll delete and add when I need an update.
