Budget period rollup only allows months in 2024

When using the budget period rollup, the options for “Budget Period” are the months in 2024. How can I create a budget period rollup for January 2025? Thanks.

Hi! I’m not sure specifically what sheet you are referring to, but I know I’ve had a few sheets where I had to edit the drop down for the year. For the default Tiller Template sheets, it might be possible to automatically update them from Tiller, I’m not sure. I’ll let someone else comment on that.

To manually edit it, I’ll try to explain the best I can:

  • Click the “Drop down” arrow to open up the year selection, you’ll see a a pencil icon at the bottom of the list. Click the pencil (“Edit Button”).
  • A panel will open in the right hand side of the screen: “Data Validation Rules”.
  • Scan down the column, near the bottom of the list of options you’ll see a button that says “Add another item”, click that.
  • In the empty text box ( should say “value” by default"), enter 2025.
  • Click the “Done” Button in the bottom of the panel.
  • Optionally close the panel if it remains open by clicking the small “x” in the upper right part of the panel, across from the title “Data Validation Rules”.
  • The Year drop down selection should now have “2025” as a selectable option

I’m no expert, but keep in mind that depending on the sheet you may need to update other sheets if you had budget information for 2024 only. Others would be more informed on the data connections between the various sheets.

I just realized that the reason Jan 2025 didn’t show up is because I hadn’t added in a Jan 2025 column in my categories tab. Thanks for the help @kentv999.
