I have a couple of accounts that require 2FA when logging in. Specifically, they are at Treasury Direct. I’m predicting Tiller won’t be able to perform an automatic refresh so is there a setting to select- by account- to “turn off” the automatic refresh feature and, instead, rely on a user periodically manually refreshing? Thanks.
I had the same issue when I had Treasury Direct. Since they required 2FA and I only cared about the balances, I unlinked those accounts from Tiller Money Feeds, and then added them as manual accounts, updating the balances periodically. Are you mainly interested in the balances?
Only interested in the balances and might do as you have in order to prevent constant efforts to pull data when it won’t be available without 2FA.
I’m surprised there isn’t a setting to “turn off” auto refreshes for a linked account in order to allow only manual refreshes per the user’s needs.
Yeah, there’s no way to turn off auto-refresh by account; it’s all accounts or none. It is an option to leave it as you currently have it. I don’t recall it locking my Treasury Connect account, but it is annoying seeing that failed to connect error.
That was my concern- getting locked out of the account due to the consistent hammering by Tiller. However, bad actors attempting to gain access to everyone’s financial accounts are probably performing as much, if not more, hammering as it is.
Consider voting for the Option to Disable Automatic Refresh (to prevent MFA issues) feature request.
