🏆 Cashflow and Networth Analysis Workbook (Excel)

So, the reports do not seem accurate so far. First, they seem to end in March of 2024 and my data is current as of today. Also, the spending and income seem off. How can I troubleshoot?

For starters, please review my documentation on troubleshooting. I’ve tried to include some of the more common issues I’ve run into, but of course it won’t cover everything so I’ve been updating it as I go.

Apart from that, I’m more than happy to help you out but in attempt to avoid bogging down this thread I think we should switch to direct messages. Once we figure out your issue I’ll update my doc and post the solution here.

Is there any way to pull in the data to fill in the transactions sheet from another sheet so this sheet isn’t connected to Tiller Feeds? I want to have a main Tiller Sheet that I update and keep track of that pulls in and then mirrors the data to other sheets like yours so that I am not having to micromanage multiple sheets/templates.

Hi Midnight,

Thanks for the question!

Right now there is no automated solution to fill one Tiller workbook from another that I’m aware of. In order to use my workbook independently you’ll need to copy-paste your data. I did find this Tiller guide on how to do this that people might find helpful.

That said, you are now the 3rd person to bring this up so It’s clear to me that there is adequate demand for people to use my workbook alongside another Tiller workbook and automatically sync my workbook with theirs. I’ve started investigating a solution for this and will post it here if I’m able to get something up and running. It’s proving harder than I originally envisioned due to the complexity of the spreadsheets.

Thanks, I am going to start from scratch with this.

It had error messages (screenshot enclosed) After opening, I saw the accounts appear to be transferred but not the balance history or transactions. I imagine due to the missing columns.

@Clint.C @MidnightPrzm @buzzmaster1 I’ve created a python script that will copy the Tiller Foundation Sheet data from one workbook to another! You can find the source code for the script here. To run it, there are many guides online like this one. For security reasons I’m not allowed to share the executable here directly but you can find it hosted on my blog jaqkofalltrades.com.

To use the script, simply run the executable or python script and drag your source and destination workbooks into the console window that pops up.

Please take it for a spin and let me know what you think!

Also @buzzmaster1 thanks for sharing your error. I believe I’ve fixed that bug now so please download the new version and let me know if it works for you. I’m not sure the script will resolve the date column issue you were seeing before but it’s certainly worth a try.
