Say we have an owners investment of $50k - how do we input/code owners investment into the business?

Where are you trying to see this show up? On a balance sheet?
If so, then you may want to input it as a “manual account”
You may also want to check in with your accountant or a tax advisor on how this should be reflected in your books/reporting.
