Income this month vs expense next month

Is there a template or recommendation that helps tracks income from last month vs the expenses this month, or the income from this month against the estimated expenses next month?

I just manually move transactions by recategorizing the dates if I wish them to be in another month so that the expense aligns with the income. May not help you but it’s one option and a simple one.

I don’t know of a prebuilt solution for this, but I would recommend setting up the Live Profit and Loss sheet (you can find it in the Tiller Community Solutions add on), and then you could add a formula near the top to pull the previous month’s income to the next month’s column, and then you could even put in a formula to subtract the actual monthly expenses to date from the previous month’s income. The formulas would be pretty straightforward starting in Month 2, but you can just set the start month to be one month before the month you actually want to view to keep the formulas as simple as possible. With just a bit more complexity you could pull in the Month 1 numbers from another sheet. I think this would be the fastest way to get close to what you’re looking for without building something from scratch.
