Listing Assets for Excel

In help tracking-balances-for-manual-accounts its says to manually enter Assets such as homes, cars etc in Balance History. However you cant because the ACCOUNT field has data validation. Or am I in the wrong spot?

There shouldn’t be data validation on the Account column of the Balance History sheet in Excel.
Did you mean the Accounts sheet?

I was referring to the Accounts tab as that is where I thought assets like homes get set up. You are saying they should be in balance history?

The Balance History sheet is the source data for all tracked accounts. If you add an account, you should do it there. The Accounts sheet aggregates unique accounts from the Balance History sheet (in the hidden area to the right) and allows for overrides of existing accounts in the visible area.
