Off to a bad start: "Having trouble connecting"

I just started my 30-day trial. The very first thing I did was attempt to connect to my bank. I tried six times. Each time, Tiller gave me the “Technical Error … having trouble connecting.”

I logged into my bank account in another browser window and saw that I had logged in six times in the last 10 minutes. These were not login attempts, but rather actual logins. So there is nothing wrong with my ID or password. I turned off 2FA but get the same result.

If there is no way to connect and sync automatically, then is there a way to manually download transactions?

I tried connecting again the next day and this time the connection worked.
