Newbie here, loving what I’ve done so far! I’ve looked, but can’t find an answer to this specific question(s): My accounts are connected, and Money Feeds runs every night, but nothing updates automatically - multiple different banks and credit cards. I have to manually refresh each day. Is tis normal?
Another (somewhat) random question - what is the purpose of Launch? Is that a one time only? Any time I hit it, it say nothing to update. Any, all of my accounts are marked to automatically update.
Thanks for your help in helping me understand this better!
Welcome. On your console page (my.tillerhq.com), go to the top under linked spreadsheets. Are all the accounts that you want to be updated checked appropriately? This may or may not be the issue, but it’s a common hiccup. If that isn’t the issue, happy to help diagnose further.
Ok. When you say that “nothing updates automatically,” is it that the accounts are not refreshing (the console will tell you how recently they refreshed) or that the data is not making its way into your sheets after the refresh? Getting data into our Tiller sheets is a two-step process: (1) refresh and (2) fill. Things can break down in either stage.
It refreshes the data fine if I manually tell each account to refresh, one at a time. And I know I need to then tell it to fill the sheets, which also works fine. I’m just wondering (hoping?) that there’s a way to do the refresh for all accounts at the same time (either me or the program automatically), rather than having to do each one separately.
At the moment, there is no manual refresh-all button. It’s something that’s occasionally been requested (including by me). There’s some hope it might happen at some point, but it doesn’t exist right now.
If you have auto-refresh enabled, Tiller should refresh those accounts that it can on a regular basis. If any of the accounts require 2FA, then they won’t be able to refresh on their own.
If you have auto-refresh enabled and the accounts (that don’t require 2FA) don’t refresh on their own, then there’s something unusual going on. Have you let it go a few days without manually refreshing your accounts to see if they will automatically refresh? (If you manually refresh too close to when the automatic refresh is supposed to take place, then the automatic refresh won’t happen.)
