I would like to have a sheet that does the following:
shows a pie chart based on categories (similar to Category Tracker)
allows for selecting a category, which then would show a list of all individual transactions for that category (similar to Transaction Tracker)
filtering based on time and account
This is basically a combination of Category tracker and Transaction tracker. I want to see a high-level spending breakdown for a specific account, and then easily see individual transactions (the why) for a specific category.
@rhowell; I noticed in your shared spreadsheet for the Scheduled Transactions template that you have a “Category Tracker +” sheet. Is that a modification that you created, and do you plan on sharing it? I’ve found it very useful and it sounds like what Martin is looking for.
I do – never got around to writing up any documentation but happy to share it.
@mk1 You can copy the Category Tracker+ tab from my shared sheet and see if it works for you. It’s just the Category Tracker from Community Solutions with a couple additions I found useful. I think it addresses all your requests except for filtering by account. I might be able to add that if you’d find it helpful. Let me know.
