Test Yearly budget

I expanded the Category tab to list 2025 Months. I have populated the categories with budget amounts. If I go to the Yearly Budget tab and change the “Budget Year View” to 2025, I see values from 2024. Do I have issues with the workbook or does the workbook have trouble going forward in time?

Just wanted to first check that you expanded the Category tab by copying from the New Year tab (which may be initially hidden)?

Yes, that’s what I recall. What I just did is unhide the New Year tab and copy/paste Jan 2025 through Dec 2025 to Q1:AB1 on the category tab. The same result when I change 2024 to 2025.

Do you see the lower-right corner symbol indicating the table expansion?

Yes -

I figured out the problem… I accidentally created circular references in the category cells. Once I resolved all the references the numbers are populating correctly… geeez! thanks!

I was having the same issue, and now have inserted the copied month/year column headers, but I do not see that table expansion symbol on my spreadsheet. Sounds like I may have messed up the original table data?

@jcntn52 try the steps in this guide to format as an Excel table. Hope that helps.
