Thanks for this hack! Before I was just doing conditional formatting on Column D to highlight empty cells and then flipping back to the Spending Trends tab to see how many I should have. Having it all in one place is great!

I’m getting a random error right now, wherein it shows too many blanks. I’ve looked through the sheet, and I cannot find more than 5 blank lines/category cells, but the number shows 21. Any thoughts?

Did you scroll down a bunch? Also, filter your Category column by blanks and see if you see them.
