Hello! I have two different bank accounts which unfortunately have the same last 4 digits of the account number. This makes using the balance history repair tool a bit of a pain because it always flags these two accounts. Not only that, but ETRADE uses two different accounts with the same exact account number for their employee stock purchase plan.
Is there any workaround for this or do I just deal with it always getting flagged when repairing my history?
@tilleruser - there isn’t a workaround that I’m aware of if the feed is pulling in those accounts with the same account number.
Hopefully you’re not having to use the Balance History Repair tool too often, that’s sort of an edge case utility. Is there some reason you’re needing to use it on a regular basis?
@heather I have been recently because I was pulling in old transactions I had in my old spreadsheets. I was just checking to see if there was support or a workaround for the above. Thanks!
The Account Id column should be unique— more unique that the Account # column. Have you considered using filters and the Account Id column to do this clean up manually.
As @heather notes, it is unusual to have to rely on these cleanup operations with any frequency.
