Using Tag Manager for 2025

I stumbled upon Tag Manager about a month ago and love it, @jpfieber. I create a new Tiller workbook for each year, so I made a copy of 2024, which brought over 12 months of the Transaction tags I used this year, but I want to eliminate some tags and create new ones in 2025.

I need guidance on how to proceed without breaking the current formula.
(1) Is there a formula that will assume a “fresh start” in the new year and pick up the tags I use on an ongoing basis and add them to the drop-down menu?
(2) Should I create a new list of tags in the Manual section of Tag Manager (column I)? Or,
(3) in column J/Transactions, should I delete the tags I’m eliminating and add new ones to the bottom of that list?

Obviously, Google Sheets and formulas are not my strong suit and I’m afraid of breaking something, so any help is appreciated.
Happy New Year, everyone!
Rebecca

You shouldn’t modify Column J, it is grabbing live tags from the Transactions sheet, so the only way to change the tags in that column is to delete them from the transactions on the Transaction sheet. If you just want new tags to choose from, you can either add them to the Manual column (I), or you can add them to existing transactions on the Transactions sheet and they’ll get pulled into column J, which is then combined into Column C where the drop-down gets it’s list from.
