You might recall the Tiller 2021 Spreadsheet Builders Challenge that we announced back in October 2021. After selecting three incredible builders from a strong pool of applicants and supporting them to realize their concepts over the past months, we are excited to unveil their creations!
Announcing the three newest templates available immediately in the Tiller Community Solutions Add-on:

- Recurring Expenses by @adambecker

Category Schedule
The Category Schedule by @Brad.warren allows you to plan, list and track the specific items of a budget category, roll up monthly totals, and dynamically link the plans to drive your budget on the Category sheet. The solution is a brainstorming/planning tool. Consider which of your categories have specific events, costs or activities for which you’d like to make a budget plan. A helpful formula allows you to link the resulting budget allowances into your Categories sheet budget.
Recurring Expenses
Studies show that people tend to lose track of recurring transactions. These monthly expenses can add up, blow up budgets, and prevent you from realizing your financial goals.
The Recurring Expenses template by @adambecker will help you identify recurring transactions. The template uses formulas to look for patterns in your Transactions sheet and scores & presents likely recurring expenses grouped by the Description field. A query tool allows you to drill down into payees at the per-transaction level.
Travel Planner
The Travel Planner by @catpatriciamorgan can help you plan and analyze your travel spending. You can plan your spending for specific trips and monitor your progress toward spending your total annual vacation budget all in one place.

How To Install
Quickly add any or all of these templates to any Tiller-powered Google Sheet using the Tiller Community Solutions add-on.
- Open your Tiller-powered Google Sheet
- Install or launch the Tiller Community Solutions add-on
- Open the add-on and choose “Builder Contest” from the tags dropdown on the Explore tab
- Click on the template you’d like to install
- Choose “Add to spreadsheet”
