Hello! I’m new to Tiller community (free trial) and am having trouble finding a solution that combines my household budget. Figuring this out can solidify my overall positive experience with Tiller. I’ll briefly explain my use-case.
My husband and I have completely separate accounts, but we split shared expenses. For example, we split rent payments, groceries, pet costs, etc. However, we have separate budgets for personal expenses, like shopping, subscriptions, car payments, etc.
We already set up our own Foundation spreadsheets, but now don’t know how to proceed with a shared finance view. Ideally, I’d like to see the total household expenses, upcoming/paid bills, savings goals, and cash flow.
Currently, I’m using the One Number Budgeting method where I’d like to see how much I have left to spend throughout the week after accounting for recurring expenses. Ideally, we’d each be able to see our individual and combined number.
TL;DR: I need individual and combined views to manage finances between my husband and I.
I started creating and downloading some spreadsheets from here, but I’m not sure how to connect our feeds. I hope this makes sense, if anyone has anything to pitch in here, I’d truly appreciate it!
