Adding categories but then not showing up in the list of cat when trying to auto categorize

Hello - I just signed up for Tiller today and learning how to use this platform. I have created additional new categories and am up to only 37 categories, the original template came with 27. While all 37 categories appear when i manually categorize them, only the first 32 of them appear when I try to run a rule to auto-categorize them. This is preventing me from setting up a rule for any new category i have created. why is this the case? what am i doing wrong?

as i first started typing in the subject field, to the right came up a few topics related to my question, however i can’t click on an existing thread to see what the solution was. how does one click on a previously asked question similar to mine?

That can happen if you insert a row about row 2 in the Categories sheet, because the data validation range is setup to begin at row 2. It’s best practice to edit existing rows.

You can correct it by going to the AutoCat sheet’s Data validation and change the
=Categories!$A$2:$A$200
range so it selects all your rows.

You’ll likely need to make the same change to the data validation for the Category column on the Transactions sheet.
