This is such a useful template, and I especially like how it shows remaining budget at the top to allocate. This has become my main page for budget planning. Is it possible to have an extra option to allocate any remaining budget left across 12 months, similar to a monthly frequency? That or an option to manually enter budget in this sheet.
Sounds like a cool option, but that doesnât feel like an easy lift. If anyone else wants to take a stab at it though, go for it!

Any way to update the version from the Tiller Community Solutions extension? The one downloaded from there is 1.81 and not the 2.0 version?
No, due to changes in how the template works, it wouldnât be a clean update, and I didnât want to break everyoneâs setups.
Ok, that makes sense. I kind of made a fresh start this year and set up a few new sheets. I went ahead and installed the 1.81 version from the Tiller Community Solutions extension. Then I just highlighted and copied and pasted the data from my other sheet (the 2.0 version) to the new 1.81 version. I did a regular copy and paste where everything is pasted exactly including formulas, format, etc. It seems to be working just fine so it was like a regular update for me. I just want to know if copying like this wonât necessarily break anything.
The layout of version 2 is slightly different then the older version. I would just copy data from the green areas, and then pay attention to the column headers to be sure everything goes to the right column.
Iâm late to the 2025 switch over, but I followed the article [âBudget Planâ Tip - Creating New Budget Plan for New Year] which has my Budget Plan 2025 correctly populated and the totals reflect. So thatâs great, however, categories are not reflecting the budget. My January does start at column BB and I did make the change so the formula is
=IF(ISBLANK($A2),ââ,IFERROR(SUMIF(âBudget Planâ!$E$4:$E$200,$A2,OFFSET(âBudget Planâ!$L$4:$L$200,0,MATCH(DATEVALUE(BB$1),âBudget Planâ!$M$3:$X$3,0))),0))
But when dragging the formula to each of the cells in the categories, they remain at 0. Anyone experience this? Am I missing a step? The categories, yearly, and monthly budget do not reflect the budget plan. I did close and reopen the sheet, no success.
Everything looks right, but I would double-check that your formula has normal single and double quotes, and not curly quotes. When I copy your formula from the post, I see curly quotes, which probably wonât work in the real formula (but this might just be the forum adding them to your post).
Sweet, I got it. I had to make sure the name of the budget plan matched. I had a budget plan for 2025. Sorry for the noise. All is well, and thanks a ton for creating this. I didnât look through the thread, but do you have a buymeacoffee link or anything of the sort?
