It’s all dependent on how you’re looking at the redemptions, some people count them as a refund or rebate of sorts and will categorize as either a category refund (just tag it as an expense category) or some combination of the different categories that contributed to the credit by splitting by percentages or some combination of the such.
I look at them while not necessarily taxable income, but income that i wouldn’t have nonetheless but like to keep up with how much is redeemed and when so I’ve made its own income category for credit card rewards.
I do like to do my best to maximize my rewards on my card spending and Tiller has definitely helped with that.
