Tiller Money Feeds Manual Transaction Tool Not Reconciling

How do I reconcile manual transactions added using the Tiller Money Feeds Manual Transaction tool? There is no option to “Flag for Reconciliation” in this version of the tool. When I use the Tiller Community Solutions Reconcile Transactions tool, I am prompted with this error message and transactions do not reconcile:

Tiller Community Solutions
Transactions sheet: Required header “Metadata” was not found in sheet.

This is a brand-new sheet that I just started on Monday, 8/19/24, and I have not modified it in anyway to remove any information - including Metadata.

It might be that you need use an add-on that creates the “Metadata” column.
Have you added a transaction using the “Manual Transaction” tool?

This is where it shows up for me. What does it look like for you?

The Metadata column is added by the Tiller Community Solutions add-on to support various workflows such as CSV imports.

I added the transaction using the “Add Manual Transaction” tool that is in the Tiller Money Feeds Extension. The account is fully linked to Tiller Money Feeds, it is not a manual account.

I did solve the METADATA column issue by going to Tiller Community Solutions > Import CSV Line Items & the add-on realized I didn’t have the METADATA column and it was added with the click of a button/on-screen prompt.

Maybe I will wait until tomorrow to fill my sheet & see if I can reconcile transactions now.

I did a little test and just manually adding the Metadata column to the Transactions sheet causes the reconcile options to be available in Add Manual Transaction. Interesting that it takes running an unrelated tool to get it added automatically.

And here is an example of what the Metadata column looks like after a manual transaction, the first when reconcile was not selected and the second for when it was selected.

The Reconcile tool will be looking for those.

SOLVED.
By adding the METADATA column through Import CSV Line Items, reconciling transactions works now and my manual transaction dialog now has the “Flag for Reconciliation” option. Seems odd that I had to add an unrelated tool to get it working, but it is working now without any glitches.

Thanks for the commentary, it prompted me to try Import CSV Line Items and I appreciate the followup/input. Cheers!
