The first 7 rows in my Category tab are not showing in the drop down in the Category column on the Transaction page. What am I doing wrong?

It’s odd that it’s the first seven rows that are not showing, but the first thing that comes to mind is to check the data validation settings for your Category
column on the Transactions
sheet. For example, if your Transactions
sheet has the Category
in column D
and your Categories
sheet has the Category
in column A
, your data validation should look like below.
Having never used data validation before, it took me awhile to figure out what you were showing. But after 15 to 30 minutes, I finally grasped what was intended. I corrected the validation and all seems to be working properly now.
