How do you sort the pull-down list for the category column?

I have lots of categories created. When transactions are added, I have to manually select the category from the pull-down list for the category column. The problem is that this list isn’t sorted. How do I sort this list so I’m not endlessly scrolling the list looking for specific categories?

The drop-down appears in the order your categories are on the Categories sheet. Sort them there and you’ll alter the order on the dropdown. But a better option is to start typing what category you want. The drop-down is predictive, so as soon as you type ‘m’, only categories that start with ‘m’ will appear, making it much easier to find what you’re looking for.
