Split Transaction workflow not working

I have a question about the Split Transaction workflow from Tiller Money Labs.

The workflow seems to keep the original transaction in its total when adding splits up. So when I add a split it always says that the amount exceeds the original transaction. This seems like a bug as it is not acting in the way shown in your videos.

If you are subtracting from the total the split should be added as a negative amount.

Hi @gws.tahiti:

Wondering…are you, by chance, adding signs to the numbers of your splits? Whereas the transaction amounts in the sheets carry polarity, the splitting tool has the polarity built-in so no signs are needed.
