What is the difference between the Description and Full Description columns?

I searched for the answer to this and couldn’t find it. Apologies if it’s been asked and answered countless times.

Info in them seems to be identical, so wondering what the columns’ functions are and which is getting data directly from financial institutions?

Another newbie question - is there a built in “note” column or do people add that themselves?

@Kiki, often times the Description and Full Description are the same. We make the Description lowercase and clean up some other stuff from the Full Description. Most of the time they’re identical.

You can simply insert a column called “Note” into the Transactions sheet - recommend to the left or right of another text column vs one with formatting like Category or Amount.
