Manually Adding Transactions to Google Sheets

I would like to add about 40 transactions to my Tiller Transactions sheet that occurred before I started using Tiller. I’d rather not do this one at a time using the Manual Transactions tool.

  • The dates will be different.
  • the Type (Income vs Expense) will all be the same
  • Category will all be the same.
  • Amounts will be different

Can I do this by simply appending / pasting the values for Date, Type, Category and Amount into the appropriate columns or do I need to use one of the import tools that Tiller provides?

You do not need to use the import tool or the manual transactions tool. Others do as you suggest: just add rows and use copy/paste to add transactions.

Thank you, dmetiller.

Welcome @ScottC to Tiller. As you build your sheets, just keep in mind that Transaction history is separate from Balance history. You will need to add separately if wanted. Also, this may help.
