My net worth values are adding the asset value of a property to the absolute value of a mortgage, creating errors in the net worth for real estate.

Simple question just to make sure there isn’t a simple solution: on your accounts sheet, do you have the property as an asset and the mortgage as a liability?

Yes, I checked and the real estate is an asset and mortgages are liabilities.

Make sure asset Group names don’t match liability Group names on the Accounts sheet.
