An extra step, but click on “## Linked Accounts” at the top of the Tiller Money Feed add-in and then click “Back” after it shows your linked accounts. This causes the add-in to poll the tiller database for any new transactions in your linked accounts and indicate whether updates are available. Tiller needs to update the Excel add-in so it polls the database upon loading the add-in.
Thanks Chuck, this worked for me. If I need to do it every time, I found a simpler solution - click to update the accounts even though it shows that there are no updates. It will still pull. So, one extra click instead of 3 (accounts, back, fill).
First, you have to click on “no updates available” before you can actually update. If there are updates available it will then say so.
Second, it seems as though you have to click on “Create Autocat sheet” before you can actually run Auto Cat even if the sheet already exists. The other minor issue is that it doesn’t report back the correct number of transactions it has categorized. I think it reports back the total number of transactions that didn’t have a category assigned.
Agree. Signed up with Tiller the other day, linked my accounts, now Excel is not updating and it says “No Updates Available” even though I can see through my bank that there are indeed updates available? Clicking on “refresh” doesn’t work. Clicking forwards / backwards doesn’t work. It’s broken.
I’m evaluating this for an enterprise solution and it looks like I will have to cancel my subscription as this just doesn’t work.
Hmm, did some more digging. Went to the “Tiller Dashboard” and it said it hadn’t been updated in more than 10 hours? Hit “update / refresh” and now the data is coming in. So, it looks like a problem with the Tiller Service not polling from the bank enough? It said that it pulled data about ten hours ago, which would have been just before midnight (where the bank doesn’t update until after midnight).
I guess the question might be "how can I get Tiller to poll the bank t about 9AM in the morning?
