Same. The account summary states “last refreshed 5 days ago”
SoFi is on the Institutional Alerts Dashboard with an estimated date for the issue to be fixed of 7/31. Note that those dates have not always been reliable, but at least it doesn’t appear to be a long-term or permanent problem.
Same Issue here, several weeks I have not been able to update. I finally was able to update last week, and today I get the message " Site not supported".
Back online today!
@villaguillermo326 please do continue to keep an eye on the Institutional Alerts Dashboard as things can change from day to day.
@heather
Following up because this is still an issue!!!
I need someone from tiller to be very clear and explain exactly what is going on.
This bank feed issue has persisted for 20+ days and counting!!!
Frankly, the tiller products main feature is failing for close to 30 days of which a paid subscription is of the same length… Why am I paying for a month subscription for a product that DOES NOT WORK! I would like Tiller to reimburse me for each day I paid that this issue occurred. I understand periodic outages that are quickly resolved, but anything longer than a week not to mention two weeks or 20+ days is absolutely unacceptable!!!
Just curious if you’ve written to SoFi and asked them why they are making it difficult for aggregators like Yodlee to access your banking data that they are in possession of. I get your frustration–I really do–but this issue is much more likely to be a result of what SoFi is doing to make it difficult for aggregators to capture data than anything that Tiller has done.
Hi @_Andrew I understand these connection issues are frustrating. Because we use a 3rd party data aggregator (Yodlee) to access your bank data we have no control over the timeline on how quickly it gets fixed or what the exact details are that caused it to stop working.
Usually these disconnects happen because many aggregators still use screen scraping to pull the data from the institution and therefore any website layout, infrastructure, or security login requirement change can break the connection for any aggregator that uses screen scraping. Often Yodlee doesn’t have a direct relationship with the institution and this can slow down them figuring out how to fix issues.
As more and more institutions move to API based connections, like “open banking,” the connections will become more reliable and stable.
Until the United States enforces some type of regulation to require financial institutions to use an open banking connection, the timeline for all institutions moving in that direction is likely decades, though we’ve seen that larger institutions have the resources to make this transition faster.
I can’t offer you reimbursement for your downtime, but can offer a prorated refund if you’re outside our 60 day money back period and wish to cancel your service.
