Why do some of my manually added entries become highlighted in yellow?

This could be the result of conditional formatting. This is the behavior I have added to my sheets. Because a manually added transactions that is flagged for reconciliation has an entry in the column called Metadata, my conditional formatting rule colors the transactions yellow where that cell in a row is non-blank. After reconciliation, these data are removed and the highlighting returns to normal.
Click into a yellow cell and then check to see if you have any conditional formatting rules active. (Select Format, Conditional Formatting.)
If you are in the Categories sheet, any duplicate values in Column A show in yellow. And anything that has a category defined in Column A, but no Group defined in Column B will also show yellow.
