Adelaide Bank Connection

Is anyone else having technical issues with the new security protocol implemented by Adelaide Bank Australia on the 27th August 2024? When I connect via tiller it does prompt me to generate an SMS code (which is part of the new protocol), so I am unable to import my banking data.

Here are a couple of steps to try, if you haven’t already:

  1. Log into your financial bank and verify any authentication prompts that come up

  2. Re-authenticate your financial account within the Tiller Console

One or both of these steps are sometimes required by the financial institution within a time period they set (30-90 days) for security reasons.

Hi Clint, still no luck…I have tried using another browser but it gives the same error ‘Technical Error at Adelaide Bank’. It logs in but doesn’t prompt the SMS authentication, then gives the error.

Not sure what to do next.

Hi Andrew,

I’m assuming the connection was working before the 27th. However, I don’t see Adelaide on the list of supported banks.

Hi Clint, it has been woking perfectly until the 27th…I haven’t had any luck with the incognito browser.

My educated guess is that the aggregator Tiller uses (Yodlee) might need to update their Adelaide interface to support the new security protocols that were implemented by the bank.

At this point, I suggest you submit a bank feed ticket. Below is a link to the workflow to follow.

Hi Clint, just letting you know that this morning the Adelaide Bank feed finally prompted me for a SMS authorisation and I was able to download all the transactions into Tiller. I really appreciate all your advice, and I am relieved that the Adelaide feed is now back to normal. The Tiller template had been a real life changer for our family finances, it’s a tool that has helped us manage and reduce all our outgoings!!!
