I like the Net Worth Tracker. In Google you can customize it to show periods or Month, Quarter, or Year, This allows you to see Net Worth over multiple years.
Unfortunately, in Excel, the “customization” shows monthly over any 12 month period.
Not perfect.
I have saved it locally and still not seeing numbers, the account names are there as stated above. Question, this is a new workbook for 2025 and I have just downloaded the net worth. Should it show the existing balances if there is no history and the first day it is installed?
Hey Conrada, I have the same issues with my Excel 2021. When you say you are updating you balance history, where are you making that update exactly in the NetWorth tab?
I’m just copying/pasting the data in my Balance History tab from my local Tiller Foundation spreadsheet into the “Balance History” tab within the OneDrive version of the Net Worth tracker. You might need to Unhide that particular tab to see it. Just make sure the columns are ordered the same in your Tiller Foundation spreadsheet as they are in the Net Worth tracker template before you copy/paste (I think I had to reorder a few columns before it worked).

I’m still missing something here. If the function for CHOOSECOLS is not working for Excel 2021 then I’m wondering how just updating the data in the balance history and Accounts will work and it didn’t for me. I also tested a new Net Worth book and tried to just use the data already inside it for 2022 changing the range to 2022 and that also is showing blank data for the $$. I feel like I’m missing an important step here. There are no active links to an outside work book in the new newworth file. From my limited knowledge, seems like the change needs to happen in the new worth cells for pulling the data. AG7…

I wanted to start a brand new excel sheet for 2025. I downloaded a new one, linked it to Tiller, and linked all the accounts I wanted. Then I refreshed and pulled in my transactions. On the transactions sheet, I deleted everything before 1/1/2025, since I only want 2025 data
Then I downloaded this sheet, moved it to my new excel, and followed the instructions. The net worth sheet still shows Feb 2024 - Jan 2025 with all the numbers and data for the last year. Is there a way to not have this? Or is there a better way to accomplish this?
The Net Worth template is driven off the Balance History sheet (not Transactions). If you don’t want 2024 to show, you’d need to delete the pre 2025 balances.
Alternatively, you could just set the dropdown to This Year and it will filter out the older balances.
