Docs: Yearly Insights


The Yearly Insights sheet allows you to get a summary of the previous year’s or current year to date earnings, spending, and some other useful information about where you spent money and how much you spent in each category.

How to Install the Yearly Insights Sheet

  1. Open your Tiller-powered Google Sheet
  2. Install or launch the Tiller Community Solutions add-on
  3. Open the add-on and choose "Analysis” from the tags dropdown on the Explore tab
  4. Click on “Yearly Insights”
  5. Choose “Add to spreadsheet”

Customizing Yearly Insights

You can make a few customizations to your Yearly Insights sheet. You can choose a different year or choose whether you want the category spending summary to be sorted by total amount or alphabetically by category using the dropdown menus at the top of this sheet.

You can also change the number of top descriptions that are displayed from 5 to 10, 20, 25, or 100.

Data for categories marked as “Hide from reports” on the Categories sheet will not appear in this report.
