We have 2 different credit cards for the same credit card account. Only one of the cards are being downloaded by Tiller. Purchases by the other card do not exist in the transactions. I tried syncing the other card through the bank institution but it gives me an error. I was also not given the option to check multiple credit card numbers when I initially synced the card.
What am i missing here?
Had similar issues for example my wife and I do not have separate anything.
May I ask if this is an authorized user? Or like us we have for IE: one visa card for her and one visa card for me both at same bank? Was able to fix with some steps. Our prime issue was actually FNBO which is are Jeep credit cards. Linked my account but when asked to link another it kept saying the card was already linked even though user name and password were different. If Maybe I can help but it boiled down to clearing browser history completely smile:
Hi @ahmedtmorsi
If it’s an authorized user situation we’ll only be able to pull in the primary card on the account. While the physical card numbers may be different, we find the data is associated with a single account number with the institution.
I have a similar issue (or maybe it’s the same root cause): I have multiple accounts with M1 Finance (high-yield savings, investment, IRA, and credit card). All of these accounts sync fine except for the credit card, which Tiller ignores. My work around is to add the credit card transactions manually - not ideal.
It seems Tiller has a bug with multiple accounts/same institution.
I know nothing about the M1 card specifically, but credit cards are often managed on the back end by a bank that is totally separate from the label on the card. The Fidelity credit card isn’t managed by Fidelity. The Amazon credit card isn’t managed by Amazon. They are managed by third-party banks, and you get their data into Tiller through the third-party banks, not directly through the company that sponsors the card. Do you know for sure that the M1 card is managed on the back end by M1? If so, then disregard this whole post, but I know this has been an issue for others.
I solved this issue by deleting all browser data and opening tiller HQ in a private window. Upon doing this, I was able to add second “wife’s” card from same bank. When I added account again then I was able to see the first card and then a radio box to select second card. May work for you or may not. Authorized user cards will not add that I am aware of.
@dsranieri1962 thanks for the update here! That’s good to know.
