It’s only been a week since i last logged in - but now it seems that the interface has changed. help! i need to update the google sheet and i can see no options in the sidebar.

There are two extensions. You have been opening the Tiller Community Solutions which has all sorts of great functions but what you are looking for is Tiller Money Feeds, which is the one that updates your transactions etc.
