Our team has been working closely with Yodlee to restore your U.S. Bank connections to your Tiller-powered spreadsheets. As of August 8, 2023, access is back and better than ever with a secure new open banking connection.
How to link your U.S. Bank accounts to Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
Click “Connection > Edit credentials” next to U.S. Bank under the Connected Account Summary & follow the prompts to log in and connect
If you haven’t yet connected your U.S. Bank accounts, you can click the “Add accounts” button on the Tiller Console and use the U.S. bank option to connect and pull in your accounts.
Because this connection was unavailable for some time, use the steps in this help guide if you need to fill in any gaps in your transaction data.
As with all our other open banking enabled institutions, these new U.S. Bank connections are more reliable, faster, and more secure than the previous connections.
If you run into any issues, reach out to our support team via the chat in the lower right corner of the Tiller Console at https://my.tillerhq.com
Since I have been entering the transactions and balances manually since this issue started in January; is there any way to re-connect to US Bank but not have it download the 90 day history?
Hi @Cowboy13 - there isn’t a way to prevent the 90 day download. If you do get duplicates in your sheet but you’ve been manually tracking, the duplicates should be easy to spot and clear because they may not be categorized or they’ll all have the same “Date added” date (column usually to the far right in the Transactions sheet)
Heather,
Great news. I assume the line that states “USAA manages your accounts [sic] credentials” is a typo and it should be US Bank, not USAA, and it does not mean USAA would be a custodian for a Tiller user’s US Bank credentials.
Please reach out to our support team via the chat window in the lower right corner of the Console at https://my.tillerhq.com/ - we can’t troubleshoot these issues in the Tiller Community.
Just want to chime in that I am getting a partial connection to US Bank. The balances for the accounts download and appear on the Connected Accounts Summary, however there is a yellow alert icon next to the US Bank header and instead of displaying the last refresh date/time, it says “unknown refresh date”. And although the balances appear on this page, the transaction detail does not appear in the Transactions tab.
Noooooooooooooooooooooo! I have been waiting for US Bank to actually work for so long and to have it be fake news that it is working is so disheartening.
Hi @kim.dushinski and @Cowboy13 I know this is disappointing! It’s definitely working for a lot of customers, many many more than it previously was, but it’s not 100% for everyone yet.
We’re working closely with our data provider on this issue still and they’re in close contact with U.S. Bank. Generally, when a new site is enabled for open banking there are some issues initially. The institution will collect the issues/feedback and push changes in a batch within the first couple weeks. We’re still awaiting that initial patch to come out but expect it to be weeks, not months in this case.
